Rib Tour & Cave Visits

Klæmintsgjógv, located on the rugged western coastline of Hestur Island, is home to some of the most dramatic sea cliffs, towering rock formations, and hidden reefs you can find in the Faroe Islands. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure as you visit the world’s largest sea cave on this exciting boat tour! You’ll explore the pristine cliffs along Hestur’s west coast from the comfort of a boat, reaching one of the most remote corners of the Faroe Islands. Here, the only residents are seabirds, nesting high and low up on the cliffs.

Norðlýsið Schooner Cruise

We offer public trips and crewed charters onboard our 62-foot schooner sailing ship. It provides a spacious and stable environment to enjoy the Faroe Islands coastline, wildlife, and impressive views. Although the ship is authentic to its history as an artist’s masterpiece and its status as the oldest ship built on the Faroe Islands, the Norðlýsið offers two modern toilets as well as heating and ventilation in the inside guest area. Can be combined with entertainment and food onboard.

Kayak Tours

The Faroe Islands are a place of raw, untamed beauty. Kayaking lets you experience this landscape in an intimate, low-impact way. Whether you’re gliding past sheer cliffs, peering into sea caves, or simply drifting in the stillness of a fjord, it’s an adventure that will leave you awed and maybe just a little bit sore. We also offer lake kayak tours, all with trained instructors with tours all year round.

Deep Sea Fishing

Embark on an unforgettable fishing expedition where you’ll have the opportunity to encounter a diverse range of fish species native to the stunning waters of the Faroe Islands.
Led by an experienced captain with a lifetime of local fishing knowledge, this trip promises thrilling angling experiences amid breathtaking natural scenery. Choose a half- or a full day of fishing with optional transfer added. Daily trips are available from April to October.

Hiking

With an abundance of majestic routes to choose from, it is simply up to each individual where the first step starts. You’ll find that once you get off the beaten path on foot, the mountains and valleys will open up for you in marvellous and unexpected ways.
With trained hiking instructors we offer a wide range of hikes in different lengths and difficulties. Combine sightseeing or a memorable meal with your hike.

Brewery Visit

Enjoy a guided tour at a local brewery or distillery. Gastro pub, showroom, and great seating options are among the things to enjoy on these tours. And of course – the beverages and tastings. With an enthusiast as our guide we go through the history of brewing in the Faroe Islands and the culture. We offer servings with beer-friendly food as meal or snack for the visit. So, it is well worth a stop – either after the completion of a tour or on its own.

Boat Tour to Drangarnir

Set sail from Sørvágur marina on an unforgettable one-hour boat tour, taking you through some of the Faroe Islands’ most scenic spots. Your journey begins with a view of the picturesque village of Bøur and the scenic Akranes area, before reaching the iconic Múlafossur Waterfall, where water plunges dramatically from cliff to ocean—a sight that captures the islands’ rugged beauty. The tour’s highlight, however, is the majestic Drangarnir sea stacks. If the weather permits, you may even have the rare opportunity to sail through Drangarnir’s iconic sea arch, experiencing the impressive structure up close.

Home dining with locals

The Faroese phrase “Heimablídni” translates directly as “Home hospitality,” and all across the islands, you can enjoy a traditional Faroese home-cooked meal and authentic and intimate dining experiences in people’s homes. In addition to tasting traditional homemade Faroese cuisine, you will also be regaled with exciting tales of the local area or village. You’ll be hosted by everything from farmers and fishermen to general food enthusiasts. Available year round.

Tórshavn City Scroll

One of the great things about Tórshavn is its compact size. It’s easy to wander around town taking in the best of what the Faroese capital has to offer. With the local guide we take a stroll through the old town with its characterful wooden houses sporting real turf roofs on your way to the Tinganes peninsula, home to the Faroese home rule government housed in venerable age-old wooden warehouses which were once used to store goods landed in the harbour here. This is a great activity before going to dinner at one of the many restaurant options we can add.

Sheep Farmhouse & Wool

Learn about a modern-day sheep farm, right here among the sheep of Torkilsheyggsgarður. Where you also get a chance to try the homemade rhubarb cordial and taste the unique Faroese delicacies skerpikjøt and ræst kjøt – dried and fermented meat.
After the farmhouse trip we visit the flagship store of Navia. Navia is one of the leading manufacturers of wool-related products in the Faroe Islands. Inspired by centuries of Faroese knitting tradition, Navia makes its knitwear and yarn from Faroese wool collected from local sheep farmers, offering beautifully crafted sweaters and other knitwear, yarn in a multitude of colours, as well as a wide selection of Faroese souvenirs.

Salmon Excursion

As the largest export of the Faroe Islands the salmon farming rings are also a recursive scenery in the fjords between the islands. With our exclusive partner we offer a visit by the salmon rings where the famous Faroe Islands salmon is being bred. By boat we get close to the rings to see the salmon up close jumping. With our experienced guide in the salmon industry, we get insight into the farming process and export. To finish the tour off the best possible way we invite into a local boat house where we serve a salmon lunch.

Grotto Concerts

Join us for the iconic Grotto concert in Klæmintsgjógv, the world’s largest sea cave. In the hush, live music begins — a lone trumpet or saxophone weaving pure, soaring notes into the cavern’s raw acoustics. Every tone reverberates through stone and sea, creating a once-in-a-lifetime symphony that feels both timeless and ephemeral.

This exclusive experience lasts approximately one hour, offering a rare chance to lose yourself in the elemental beauty of Klæmintsgjógv. Seated safely aboard the RIB boats in an overall suit, surrounded by the primal grandeur of the Faroe Islands, you become part of a fleeting concert few will ever witness.
