We suggest combining a rental car with a dbl/twin room at a 4*hotel in Tórshavn:
4 nights / 5 days from DKK 7.249,- in total when two persons travel together.
7 nights / 8 days from DKK 12.598,- in total when two persons travel together.

Excellent infrastructure
The infrastructure is excellent with most of our 18 islands being connected by tunnels, sub-sea tunnels, or ferries. Our infrastructure continues improving with the current project being a sub-sea tunnel that will connect the islands of Streymoy and Sandoy.
In 2020 a sub-sea tunnel was construed which connected Tórshavn, Strendir, and Runavík. It is currently the only sub-sea tunnel in the world with a roundabout under the sea. In 2023 a new subsea tunnel tied the island of Sandoy to the main area. More to this we have the Vágar subsea tunnel from 2002 and the Norðoyar subsea tunnel from 2006.
Beware of sheep on the road!
While driving in the Faroe Islands you will most likely see sheep close to (or on) the road. Please, drive with caution as their movement can be unpredictable.
Fun fact: there are twice as many sheep as there are people on the Faroe Islands!
